The Chapel

West Boylston

What makes West Boylston unique? This is a very complicated question. West Boylston is unique in so many ways. We are a small town that doesn't have many people. However, this creates an amazing closeness between the town. Whenever someone in the town needs help, their neighbor is there to help them. I love the people in my town because they will always stay with me, forever.

West Boylston is also a very historical town. Since Boston and many other historical places surround us. As a child you learn old values and grow up with history surrounding you. For example, I learned as a young child that the Reservoir was created in the middle of the town. They had to move many buildings in order to make it. All in all the history and the people make this town unique.

The Chapel

When I was a little girl I always wondered what this building was. I grew up going to CCD just across the parking lot. This always gave me time to look and wonder about this mysterious building. That is why I have chosen this place to take pictures of. This building is extremely old and has been at it's location for many years.

For this project I  decided to take pictures of The Chapel. This building is used during the winter for the storage of human bodies. When the ground is to hard for the diggers to dig the grave they have to put the coffins  somewhere. This is the place that they are stored.

Snowy Window

Close up view of the window with snow on it is this picture. You can see the texture of the snow and the bricks.

Bricks

This is a close up view of the bricks on The Chapel. The snow still clings to the bricks and the window is indented into the building.

Pillar and Wall

The pillar is about ten feet from The Chapel. The tree behind the pillar creates a different effect. The wall recedes into the background, towards The Chapel.

Chimney

In this picture you can see the chimney and The Chapel. You also can see the right window and the right bush. The left side of the building has been cut out of the picture.

Tree

This is a bigger view of the tree and The Chapel. The trees branches hang down in the picture but create a cool efect.

Window

In this picture you can clearly see one of The Chapels many windows. Following the wall, looking towards the building shows the beautiful brick.

Pillar

Standing behind the pillar looking towards The Chapel gives you this angel.

Side of The Chapel

This is a side view of the chapel. Standing in the church parking lot and looking at the building creates this angel. This is a great picture of the entire Chapel

Door

The Chapels door has a Christmas wreath on it because of the holidays. The snow is falling and so is the sun yet the spirit of Christmas will previal.

Back Chapel

This picture is of the back door of The Chapel. There are two huge doors on the back of the building. I took the picture looking straight up at the sky.

Front View

This is a straight, frontal shot of The Chapel. You can clearly see the wreath on the door and the bush to the left of the building.

Merry Christmas

This is a holiday wreath that has been hung on the door of The Chapel. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Steps, Bush, Door

This is a side view of the door and the steps. There is a bush on the left side of The Chapel which is the same color as the door.

Steps

These are the steps to The Chapel entrance leading up to the door. The snow is currently covering them and makes it very slippery to walk up.

Side View of The Chapel

This is a view of The Chapel looking through the branches of a tree. The tree stands about five feet from the building and overhangs The Chapel. This makes it look picture perfect and beautiful
