Elm Park

My Virtual Tour

For my tour I chose to do Elm Park. Located in down town Worcester where many people of all ages can go to do many things. From playing on the playground to just enjoying the view and variety of animal life. Riding bikes, runners and dog walkers are very common in the park. It's also historic, being the first purchase of public land in the United States! Historic and entertaining are the reasons why I chose to do Elm Park.

Information on Elm Park

How is our Community Unique?

Located outside of Worcester, the little town of west Boylston is unique in more ways then people may see. living in a community where just about everyone knows everyone has its up, and its downs. the middle/high school is also extremely small. a few things do separate West Boylston from other small towns like the reservoir, rail trail, and just the history of our town in general.

Entrance

Two stone castle like pillars lead you into the park. With historic signs on both sides you just might learn something as you enter.

Close up

As you enter the park you get a little bit of history posted on the castle like pillars. I liked this picture because you get knowledge before you enter.

Walk-way

People walk to the paths going all around the parl. Benches and lamp posts are also along the walkway where people are able to rest. I picked this picture because I liked how you are able to see what the benches and walk-way is like.

Street Corner

From the corner of the street awaiting traffic you can see how the Urban area changes. Going from being in the middle of the city, to entering a small, quiet park. I liked this picture for that exact reason.

Bench by the Pond

A gorgeous view, able to sit along the cost of the pond able to see everything. I picked this picture because I love the flowers and the reflections going on.

Historic Statue

An enormous old statue, however there were no signs saying what it represented myself and a fellow friend decided it must be about pilgrims and how they survived. We decided that by studing all sides and engravings on the statue.

Baby Swings

The playground part of the park is a decently sized place where people take there children to play. I picked this picture because I liked how it helped to bring family's together.

Slide View

Looking threw the slide your able to see the far side of the playground, along with the begining of the pond. I liked this picture because i really like the veiw of how others, mainly children would see the rest of the park.

Stone Man

A statue on the far side of the park. It was once used to give horses water but it was moved to the far side of the park for 'safty reasons'.

Bright Flowers

An abundance of bushes covered with flowers surround the park. I liked this picture for the beautiful colors of this flower and how it looked with the pond in the background.

Bridge in View

One of the two bridges in this picture, with some surrounding lamp posts. I liked this picture because of the old bridge and just how the pond made it look.

Under View

This is a picture of what it looks like from under the bridge. I liked this picture because i like how it was a different view of the bridge and the scenary around.
