Trout Brook

Something West Boylston has is a great number of trails and trail systems. There are a ton of good hiking/running spots, both in town, and shortly out of it.

The photograph on the right is of Trout Brook in May. If you look closely you can tell that this image is actually of the reflection in the water. You can see ripples as well as the leaves on the bottom of the lake (at the top of the image.)

Trout Brook is a small system of trails in Holden. It's a popular walking and dog-walking area, and has good routes for runners. In the winter people come to ice skate on the small pond, and in the summer it hosts day-camps.

I chose Trout Brook because it is a couple-minute jog from my house in Holden, and I enjoy going there to run. My route crosses over small bridges over the brook, and goes through the woods, up and down small hills.

This gate separates the beginning of the path from the parking lot; it prevents people from driving in.
