Look for 5 different items made of water, ice or snow.
Capture the surface of what you are photographing and whatever reflections there might be.
To make your photographs aesthetically pleasing, remember to zoom in on the subject. You are trying to capture the specific texture of the item, not give a landscape view.
Think about open and closed form.
Use side lighting if possible to bring out the 3 dimensionality of the textures.
