Photograph objects using different and unusual light sources. Try photographing indoors using window light, lamp light, candle light, computer or TV screen light. Try photographing outdoors using different weather conditions or different times of day. Using black and white or sepia setting helps to bring out lighting because it eliminates the distraction of color.
