During April vacation, students traveled to Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

Students were Andrea Tata, Katie Fleming, Maggie Pinnow, Corrie Chase, Maggie Carolan, Kendra Sloan, Kate Ivers, Jill Lombardi, Alanna Moriarty, Jess Morais, Dave White, Sarah Raymond, Jenna Perkins, Emily O'Brien, Jake Peterson.

Chaperones were Tina Avery, Lynne Pelto, Nanci Bell and Rosann St Jean

Our first stop was Luzern, Switzerland

We

  • Went on a walking tour and scavenger hunt of the city.

  • Went to a folk show where we got to learn traditional music, yodeling and dancing.

 

Second stop: Munich, Germany

 We

  • Visited Neuschwanstein castle (model for Cinderella castle) and learned about King Ludwig II

  • Visited Dachau

  • Learned traditional Bavarian dance and song

  • Visited  BMW world.

We

  • Visited an Abby in Melk

  • Cruised down the Danube River

  • Went on a walking tour of the city to see palaces and St Peter's Cathedral.

  • Visited the stables of the Lipizzaner horses
