I am the DECA president at my school and for DECA the show is a way to show both other DECA members and other students at WBMHS that if there is something you are really interested in, you are not limited to what you can do to get involved. In my case, I am very interested in fashion and business, so that is why I decided to start planning prom fashion shows. For the show, I had model signups that were open to the whole high school so anyone who was interested could get involved in the event, so the models for the show were not just DECA members, but high school students from WBMHS as well. There were 8 girl models and 4 guy models. The models were great but the only thing that went wrong with the event was that Q Look Bridal did not show because of a reported car crash, so the show was shortened. Although I had no control over that and it was very disappointing, I will definitely have another show next year. I realize putting a fashion show together is harder than its looks and each year I learn from my mistakes and next year will be my final show, and hopefully best show.
