"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." ~Pablo Picasso

The National Art Honor Society meets Friday mornings before school twice a month at 6:50

Scroll down to see photos of the NAHS induction and the New York trip.

To be inducted in the NAHS, a student must maintain an 86 or better average and demonstrate characteristics of worthy character.

Every student inducted into the National Art Honor Society is inspired to be creative and to work their hardest. They have to contribute artistically to their community. We at West Boylston have high hopes for NAHS members.

Purpose

Inducted members recite a quote before lighting candles at the induction ceremony held in April.

The purpose of the chapter shall be to:
insure and recognize those students who have shown outstanding ability in art.

  •  foster excellence and a dedicated spirit to the pursuit of art.

  •  further creative abilities and talents of the Society's members, as well as the school's entire student art enrollment.

  •  aid members in working toward the attainment of their highest potential in an art area.

  •  bring art to the attention of  school and community.

  •  increase an awareness of art in relation to other areas of the school curriculum.

  •  further aesthetic awareness in all aspects of the school's total program.
